My Online Dating Stories from Ryan's blog

100% Free dating service for everyone!

Online dating in your 20's!  If only I could be that naïve again!  :D  I'll tell you, people are never 100% honest with others.  There will always be things you or someone else has done in your life that you're embarrassed by or want to leave behind, and even though they make you who you are, you or they will likely never share those kinds of things.  And when it comes to dating motive, if you're only meeting people through dating apps like Bumble or Tinder, 99.9% of the time, they're only after your tail.  Everyone wants companionship with the end-goal of getting laid.  It's unfortunate but true.  We're human after all, and our instinct to procreate can be incredibly strong.  But it also depends on what your long term goals are too.  Are you wanting to get married, have children, the white picket fence?  All that needs to be on the table, day one.  If the guy backed out after only two weeks, then he's definitely either hiding something (maybe he has a GF or just wants a FWB), or he's discovered you're both don't have the same long-term goals.  Or maybe it could be just as simple as you might annoy him in some way.  I don't have the answers to any of those questions.  But there are definitely reasons why people do the things they do, and at a younger age, those reasons can often be sexually motivated, especially with guys.  And don't even get me started on how many online scammers there are out there who butter people up over a few weeks or months.  The internet is not a realistic place to meet people.

My best advice is to get out of the house and do things you like to do, and meet people face to face, whether it be at church, at a coffee shop, local parks, etc, etc.  You'll have a much better chance at meeting people who are real when you're out in the real world.  I wish you all the best!
